00.One-to-one sessions

A quiet place to reset

Pure Cloud Valley offers shiatsu, breathwork and guided stillness sessions, one visitor at a time and at an unhurried pace. It is relaxation-oriented bodywork and not a medical service.

About

Pure Cloud Valley is built around one idea: a place where people can slow down without being sold anything. Sessions are one-to-one, the pace is slow, and the schedule is kept light so there is time to arrive and time to leave. We would rather explain a session plainly than promise what it will do.

Sessions

One person lying on a blue mat on a wooden floor while another kneels beside them

Shiatsu (60 Min)

Sustained thumb and palm pressure along the back, shoulders and legs, on a floor futon and through loose clothing. The pace is slow, and the pressure can be made lighter or firmer whenever you ask.

Shiatsu (90 Min)

The longer format leaves more time for the back and legs, plus a short rest at the end. A reasonable choice if you have not had bodywork for a while.

Breathwork (45 Min)

A guided breathing session lying on a mat, with attention on a slow, long exhale. No prior experience is needed. It is a relaxation practice and not a treatment for any condition.

Rest is more than sleep

Sleep is the most obvious form of rest, and it matters. Still, plenty of people sleep seven or eight hours and wake up tired. Sleep and rest are not always the same thing, and this note looks at the difference in everyday terms.

How we work

"Sessions are one-to-one and unhurried. We start with a short conversation, adjust pressure and pace as you go, and leave time at the end to sit up slowly. We do not diagnose, treat or promise outcomes, and we are glad to say so before you book."

Frequently asked

Common questions

Q.Do I need to have done shiatsu before to book a session?

No prior experience needed. The first session starts with a short conversation about what you are noticing in your body and what brought you in. From there we adjust the pressure and pace. People who have never had bodywork often find it easier than they expected.

Q.What should I wear to a session?

Loose trousers and a long-sleeved top work well. Shiatsu is done through clothing on a floor futon, so you do not undress. Avoid stiff denim or anything with a thick waistband. If you are coming straight from work and need to change, tell us when you book.
